Sealybration 2016 Vendor, Participant Application Forms Available Now

Summer Festival Forms Online for Specialty Vendors, BBQ Cook-off, 5K Fun Run, Softball Tournament, Bean Bag Tournament

SEALY, TX - MAY 10, 2016 - The Sealy Community Foundation is excited to an-nounce that applications are available at www.SealyCommunityFoundation.org for Sealybration 2016 specialty vendors, the BBQ cook-off, 5 Alarm 5K fun run, and softball and beanbag tournaments.

“Sealybration has something for everyone! For specialty vendors, Sealybration is the summer venue to show off your wares to thousands of attendees. The festival also offers fun competition at the BBQ cook-off, and bean bag and soft ball tourneys. Of course, the music and fireworks can’t be beat. We hope everyone comes out to this fan-tastic community event,” said Melanie Willingham, Sealy Community Foundation Presi-dent.

Sealybration is Austin County’s “can’t miss” summer event held July 8-9, 2016 packed with activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a BBQ cook-off, wine gar-den, VIP experience, bean bag tournament, Annual Stars & Strikes Classic softball tour-nament, 5 Alarm 5K run, specialty booths, patriotic parade, carnival and live music Fri-day and Saturday night. It’s all capped off with an awesome fireworks display Saturday night!

Specialty Vendors

BBQ Cook-off
The 8th annual BBQ cook-off begins July 8 with awards announced the afternoon of July 9. The entry fee is $100 for brisket, pork spare ribs, and chicken with a $10 jackpot per entry for margarita, chef’s choice and pinto beans. Prizes include showmanship; $150 for first place in each category; $125 for second place; and $100 for third; as well as $400 for grand champion; and $200 reserve overall. Stars & Strikes Classic Softball Tournament
Be one of the more than 200 teams that battles it out to win the 7th Annual Stars and Strikes Classic Softball Tournament presented by TX Elite Fastpitch Events on July 8-10, 2016. 5th Annual 5 Alarm 5K and 1K Rookie Run
Join in the fun and run to help raise money for the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department at the 5 Alarm 5K and 1K on July 8, 2016 starting at 8:30 p.m. Early registration will run through July 3 and is $15 for 12 and under, $20 for students running the 5K, and $25 for all others. Each participant receives a t-shirt and is eligible for awards based on age. Also, sponsors are also needed to help fund the runs. Bean Bag Tournament
Calling all two-person bean bag tossing teams! The tournament starts Friday, July 8 at 8 p.m. Walk-up registration starts at 7 p.m. and the fee is $20 per two-person team.
