SEALY, TX - JUNE 9, 2014 - The Sealy Community Foundation is excited to announce that applications are available at www.SealyCommunityFoundation.org for Sealybration 2014 food and retail vendors, the BBQ cook-off, tractor show, car show, 5 Alarm 5K fun run, and softball and beanbag tournaments.
Sealybration is Austin County’s “can’t miss” summer event held July 11-12, 2014 packed with activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a barbecue cook-off, bean bag tournament, car show, Annual Stars & Strikes Classic softball tournament, 5 Alarm 5K run, vendor booths, patriotic parade, and carnival. It’s all capped off with an awesome fireworks display Saturday night!

The 5th annual BBQ cook-off begins July 11 with awards announced the afternoon of July 12. The entry fee is $100 for brisket, pork spare ribs, and chicken with a $10 jackpot per entry for margarita, chef’s choice and pinto beans. Prizes include showmanship; $150 for first place in each category; $125 for second place; and $100 for third; as well as $400 for grand champion; and $200 reserve overall. Register now for the tractor show and parade. Check-in begins July 12 at 9 a.m. and the parade starts at 10 a.m. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with judging at 1 p.m. There is no entry fee. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd - Restored Tractor; 1st, 2nd, 3rd - Non-restored, Working Tractor; Best of Show; Oldest Tractor; and Most Unique Tractor. NEW Car Show
The first annual Sealybration Car Show will be held July 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of historic Liedertafel Hall at 116 Lux Road in Sealy. More than 300 cars are expected to be on display for this free event that includes awards, music, raffles and food. 3rd Annual 5 Alarm 5K and 1K Fun Runs
Join in the fun and run to help raise money for the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department at the 5 Alarm 5k and 1K on July 11, 2014 starting at 8:30 p.m. Early registration is now open through July 6 and is $15 for 12 and under, $20 for students running the 5K, and $25 for all others. Each participant receives a t-shirt and is eligible for awards based on age. Also, new is this year is the ability to honor a fire fighter with an “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” sponsorship of at least $50. Their name will appear on the run t-shirt and advertising. Bean Bag Tournament
Calling all two-person bean bag tossing teams! The tournament starts Friday, July 11 at 8 p.m. Walk-up registration starts at 7 p.m. and the fee is $20 per two-person team. There are cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
